This is a series of monthly presentations suitable for adult Catholics who wish to engage in discussion on various aspects of Faith and Practice. The first two are as follows:-

THE NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC PILGRIMAGE AND CONGRESS IN LIVERPOOL -7th - 9th SEPTEMBER 2018
St. Peter's Parish has been allocated 2 delegate places for the above event. Any parishioners who would like to be considered should give their names to Fr. Tony by next Sunday (12th November). Expenses may be met by parish funds where necessary.
REMEMBRANCE Day - SUNDAY 12th November
The Act of Remembrance for the War Dead will take place in front of the Pieta statue in the Mortuary Chapel at 11.30 am
The last organ recital this year will be on Thursday 9th November at 7.00pm, and will be given by our organist Peter Clark. The recital will “attempt to demonstrate the influences from plainsong to jazz on contemporary organ music” and will include music by Carlotta Ferrari, Albert Ketèlbey and Peter Maxwell Davies. A retiring collection will be taken for the St Peter’s Youth Hall and homeless project.
FIRST FRIDAY DEVOTIONS
Join us in St David’s Chapel on Friday 3rd November from 3-4pm for Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Silent Adoration and Devotions for the Nine First Fridays. All are welcome.
SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS
WEDNESDAY 1ST NOVEMBER - This annual celebration is a Holy day of Obligation and Masses are at
10am and 7pm.
COMMEMORATION OF ALL THE FAITHFUL DEPARTED (ALL SOULS)
Thursday 2nd November- there will be an extra Mass at 7pm.
Coffee Morning - Do come along to Christchurch Hall on Llanederyn Drive for coffee, cakes and an
auction with amazing prizes on Thursday 2nd November from 10am to 12 noon. The event is raising
funds for special speech & language therapy for 3 toddlers with Down’s syndrome.
Raffle tickets are available from Romilly Fenlon at 9.30 Mass.
THE RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS
The meetings have started and include:-
...Those not Baptised who want to know more about Christianity.
...People from the other Christian traditions who are attracted by Catholic life or practice
...Catholics who have not been practising recently, but who wish to re-connect with their faith and community.
...Catholics who feel that their knowledge of the faith and teachings needs deepening

THE NATIONAL COMMEMORATION OF THE 500th ANNIVERSARY OF THE REFORMATION IN WALES
On Tuesday October 31st at 11am at St. David's Catholic Cathedral, Cardiff, Archbishop George will lead Cytun's service of commemoration for the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Reformation. It will be followed by refreshments at 12 noon and a lecture on "The Catholicity of the Reformation" by Professor Densil Morgan at 2.00 pm, both in Cornerstone. It is an opportunity for Christians to come together to help heal the divisions of the past and to focus on what unites us, not what divides us.
