Holy week - mass times:

 

 

 

Sunday 14th April - Palm Sunday

Normal mass times

Blessing & procession of palms at the start of both Masses.

 

Wednesday 17th April - Chrism Mass

11.30am - Chrism Mass at St. David’s Cathedral.

The Holy Oils to be used in the Sacraments of Baptism,Confirmation, Ordination and the Sacrament of the Sick are blessed by Archbishop George. Also the clergy renew their priestly vows. All the faithful are welcome to attend.

 

Thursday 18th April - Maunday Thursday

7.00pm - commemoration of the Lord's supper until 10pm

watching at the Alter of Repose

 

Friday 19th April- Good Friday

10.30am - Children’s Stations of the Cross

2.15pm - Stations of the Cross

3.00pm - The Passion fo the Lord

7 pm - Stations of the Cross.

 

Saturday 20th April - Holy Saturday

A day of emptiness while the body of Jesus lays lifeless in the tomb.

 

8 pm - The Easter Vigil (Tea & coffee afterwards)

This is the greatest liturgical celebration of the entire year. The church assembles to reflect on the story of the Old Testament, then, into a darkened church, the light of the risen Christ spreads among us. During the Mass, our new Christians will be Baptised, Confirmed and receive their First Holy Communion.

Other Christians coming into full communion with the Catholic Church will be confirmed and receive their First Holy Communion.
